Kinkead's at 2000 Pennsylvania Ave, NW. Excellent seafood; reasonable value; within 2 or 3 blocks of Metro. Be forewarned, though, DC restaurant prices are pretty high when compared to many other parts of the country. Primi Piatti -- across the street from Kinkead's. Italian w/a very "New York" feel. Les Halles -- a French "steakhouse"/bistro at 1201 Penn Ave, NW; has good seafood in addition to steaks. Better yet: look up the Washingtonian Magazine's www home page.
