Try Ardeo on Connecticut Ave. in Cleveland Park.

Agree with everything Vivian said except for one important thing. It's more like approx. a 1.5 hour drive (non rush hour) to the Inn at Little Washington. Still, very much worth it. Prices during the week are much less (~$88 per person, fix prix) vs. Saturday (~$120 per person). See if you can get seating in the kitchen if it's available. They recently built a new kitchen and sunk over $1M into it alone.
