My wife, 9 yo and I have tried the one in Fredricksburg, VA a couple three times. It is about what you would expect. Good basic southern cooking, great apple pie, and nice folks. It has nothing to distinguish it other than the apple centric cooking but it is good at what it is. The kid likes it, usually becausw we are traveling and he gets to buy something in the oldfashoned store. we surely don't have any adverse reaction to it and we do like to eat well and often eat out. So I guess what I am saying is it is fine if it is the kind of thing you are expecting, the oldfashoned southern family restaurant. Mainly fried chicken, meatloaf, dumplings, burgers, etc. Good for what it is, but isnot going to make anyone's list of fine food joints.
