Ate lunch there a few days ago. Didn't impress me much one way or the other. I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid it certainly, but neither would I seek it out. Pretty good sourdough bread, and the salad is a 1/4 of a head of lettuce.

Its not good. We went there for lunch last Sunday. First of all it's too expensive for what you get. I ordered the Catfish lunch special. It was $7.99 and I got 2 small pieces of soggy catfish with tons of soggy fries. My wife ordered shrimp kabobs for $8.95 and she only got one skewer with 4 shrimp with rice. The quality was terrible. The people behind us also complained of such measly porportions.

Go to Papadeuxs instead.

Better yet - try Gumbo's (in Wells Branch at the corner of Bratton Lane and Merrilltown Dr.). Get there early!

I can't believe somebody went to Water Street for fried catfish -- it is a grilled seafood restaurant.

The grilled fish is just as good as Pappadeaux, although a little less imaginative, but also less expensive. On the other hand, the fried stuff is overpriced.

The chicken soup is the best I've ever had anywhere.
