It's not truly gulf style, but Sea Island is opening up a restaurant on Mopac just past Parmer. They have one in San Antonio (maybe the only one), and it is the best seafood I've found away from the coast. They also have excellent shish-kabobs. The location in San Antonio has been around for about 30 years, and has always been great.
