I just had a very good lunch experience at Skyline Grill on Lamar, about a block south of Barton Springs. They have a small inside dining area with some tables outside. The menu consists of some southwestern dishes, steak, and venison. I had a vegetarian chile rellano in a delicious garlic salsa, a good dinner salad with a spicy ranch dressing, and some great garlic green beans. My lunch companions had a tasty venison burger and a normal cheeseburger, one with breaded french fries (OK), and the other with sweet potato chips (pretty good). The service was very nice, and the prices were quite reasonable, with sandwiches around $5-$6 and entrees around $7-$10. They had a number of vegetarian items (great for me!), and everything I tried had a fresh flavor.

Go check it out.
