Pappadeaux is the name of the Seafood/Cajun restaurants operated by the Pappas family of Houston. They also operate Pappamia's (Italian), Pappacito's (Tex-Mex), and a few other types. The food is better-than-average Cajun. Prices aren't cheap, but portions are large; this seems to be the Pappas formula: No one goes home hungry. Expect to pay $9-$18 for dinner. I've reviewed the Austin Papadeaux in the TechNet Austin Dining Guide: http://www.tech.net/austin/dining/r_papaex.htm or, for the entire guide http://www.tech.net/austin/dining
