Best In Austin

1. Hudson's On The Bend - Great game food!!! Jeff Blank works
   miracles.

2. Jeffrey's - Nice ambiance coupled with great food.

3. City Grill - Best Steak, Best Creme Brulee

4. Castle Hill - Noisy, but good. Pepper theme, so
bring plenty of Maalox. Best Place to Make Connections.

5. Belgian Restaurant - Highly recommend the Oysters Ladybird.

6. Jean Pierre's Upstairs - Best Souffle (next to mine)

7. Foot Hills - Best Lobster Bisque

8. Carmelo's - Best Italian (still not great), Best Marble

Honorable Mention

 - Cafe Mozart
 - Austin Land and Cattle Company
 - Dan McKluskey's
 - Sixth Street Cafe (great Bananas Foster)
 - Chuy's (best Mexican, flakey atmosphere)

Don't Bother

 - Mezzaluna's
 - Bitter End
 - Gilligan's
 - China Town

Hmmm... I'd scratch Carmelo's and Foothills... both are mediocre. I'd add the Paggi House, 612 West, Basil's, Mezzaluna, and Mama Mia's.

Outstanding BBQ can be found at 183 and Burnet Rd. Texas Rib Kings - the BEST. Get the "all you can eat" for 9.99 if you have a good appetite. It'll bring tears to your eyes.
