Just ate there tonight for the first time. Excellent
service and wonderful food. I recommend the
house plate if you are really hungry and want to try
a lot of their dishes.

When I lived in the Austin area, I was a regular patron there and always enjoyed it. If it wasn't so far off the beaten path for me - from Lake Bastrop - I'd still go there. In fact, I just might go there anyway!!! Terry at Lake Bastrop ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Polls SHAPE public attitudes - not REFLECT them. Yeah, and most everyone else's statements probably stand, too: Who gives a crap if our restaurants meet your extraordinarly picky standards of what constitutes "Italian" food? All I care is that I can go to several restaurants in town (Basil's, Tocai, Madam Nadalini's, Mezzaluna's, and the new Vespaio on S Congress) and consistently get high quality food that is "Italian" in any reasonable sense of the word. Food doesn't have to be cooked by a 300 lb woman with olive oil coming out of every hairy mole on her body to be Italian. jim andrews (tired of the snobbery)
