I agree. For both atmosphere and the true Austin dining attitude, this is the place to go. Good food with good variation on the menu. It doesn't try to pretend its anything more than what it is, which is quite a relief. No Valet Parking (a personal pet peeve...why do you need valet at Fonda San Miguel or Brio when all they are going to do is park the car in the same parking lot you would park in otherwise...it doesn't make any more parking places!!!). Sunday brunch is a must, especially with the weather like it is now. Nothing better than sipping a mamosa on the patio to make the Sunday even more relaxing. ============================================================== Niall Gaffney [email removed] HET Operations http://rhea.as.utexas.edu/~niall

Can anybody here give me an : unbiased opinion? I'll hang up and listen... The food is excellent, as is the atmosphere, but the menu is a bit pricey for the quantity of food served, IMO. If I had more money to spare, I would make it a regular hangout. Speaking of portions per dollar -- Austin Java Company does a *great* job making that a worthwhile ratio. I can almost always make two meals out of one of their pasta dishes. ****** Clay Colwell (aka StealthSmurf) ********** [email removed] ****** * "In the future, we will recognize software crashes as technologically * * mandated ergonomic rest breaks - and we will pay extra for them." * * -- Crazy Uncle Joe Hannibal *
