Someone called me the next day to tell me how the requests would be handled. Two days later a deli manager called to tell me she'd ordered the item, that it would arrive in two days, even the shelf it would be on. The other item, a juice they squeeze in store, has been there every day since. Yep, the cafe had so far been a real disappointment. The menu is much smaller. Instead of the "blinking coasters", employees tried to track you down and serve you a number flag they gave you. Not a bad idea, bringing the food to you, but it looked like a real challenge in a crowd. So, we were there last night, and they had switched to the blinking coasters. And for dinner last... really sweet grilled Australian lobster tails with herbed butter, wonderful fresh tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, potatoes and rolls for $9.95. With our two-for-one coupon, it was an obscenely good deal.:) But I agree with what someone else said... Westgate wouldn't be worth the extra drive for me if I was closer to CM central. Some things I like better at Lamar, others at Westgate. But since we live about 13 minutes from Westgate (6 minutes if the 290 traffic is light:-), I doubt we'll make many more runs to Lamar, even if they do have a better olive bar, better cafe, beautiful outdoor seating.. I miss it already. . -- jan Avron B. wrote in message ... >Yes--really disappointed. Hardly any free food--no free bread or coffee, for >instance.
