There's no entertainment to speak of at either of these, but a couple of places come to mind from my time spent as a college student an hour north of Nashville. One is the San Antonio Taco Company, across the street from the back-side of Vandy's campus. It's standard fare of soft taco's, etc., but pick-up a bucket of beer and you'll enjoy the outdoor atmosphere. (I think it's on the 21st Avenue side of campus). The other is in West Nashville, and is called McCabe Pub. Good food, good atmosphere, good spirits. Directions will be a bitch, depending on where you are, but it's well worth the effort. Right across the street from McCabe Park, which I think is a municipal and may help you find the place easier. Both SATCO and McCabe pub are casual and at least moderately creative. Hope you enjoy.
