The hotel is adjacent to the bullring, outside the old city near the Roman ruins. They had a magnificent restaurant as part of the hotel. I would strongly recommend it. [Don't bother me, I am eating.] > -- a soon to be useful sentence from my Catalan phrasebook There are some excellent restaurants in Barcelona. My favorite is Tragaluz- excellent food in a really cool room. There are ultramodern furnishings, plants and skylights (tragaluz means "skylight" in Spanish) with great continental food. It's off Paseo de Gracia below Diagonal. Above Diagonal on PdG is an awesome seafood restaurant - Botafumiero. If you like seafood you must go there. It's pretty expensive, though. For more of a local flavor go to Hemisferio, on Paseo de Gracia near Carrer d'Arago. It's a rotisserie-type place - lots of food brought to you on skewers and carved at your table. Lots of locals hang out there and have a good time. Enjoy! Peter From [email removed] Tue Nov 14 08:31:24 EST 1995 Article: 20815 of rec.food.restaurants
