HI again George. Kiawah Island is fantastic. and I did not eat in a single bad place within the resort. Generally resorts do not have the greatest food because they have captive audiences, but Kiawah is a rare exception. I particularly rec the Indigo House.. we found ourselves getting take out desserts late at night.

Charleston is a food lovers dream and I strongly rec 22 Queen - especially the she crab soup. The cuisine is classic " low country " food and we fell in love with it quickly.

While staying at Kiawah do not overlook the naturalist's programs. we went on a backwater canoe trip and saw dolphins and manatees. and we did ocean seining with a naturalist. There are also after dark turtle walks to see the nesting turtles. All in all Kiawah is a wonderful place for all ages and the food will not disappoint you.

Also check out Nearby John's Island.. there is an adorable marina with a great shop if you want to buy a high end memento. We came home with precious copper skinks and silver conch shells. Sigh... we are heading to Seaside Florida today.. another GREAT place to eat ( Bud n Alley's, Cafe 30A and Criolla's .. all in one town ..oh my heavens) and a shoppers heaven all in small town old florida but redefined place. Let me know if you want more Kiawah Island stuff.. I can grab the folders I saved. Diane
