In Charleston try Magnolias or the Cafe next door owned by the same people. Bakers Cafe on King is the best place for breaksfast or brunch. There is a great pizza place on the corner or East Bay and Market - across the street from Appleby's. The name escapes me, but the pizza is wonderful. There is also a great deli on King. Other fine restuarants include Maryann's, 82 Queen and a new restaurant recommended in the Sept or October issue of Gourmet magazine (1994). Mike Calder's pub is a good place to get a cold beer and Tommy Condon's is fun if you like Irish food- music - ales. Have fun.
