I believe Rumford is in the E. Prov./Bristol area (I'm from RI but from the "other" side of the state) :) Anyway...Tweets Balzano's has long been a place for great seafood & Italian food. You sit at long tables and are served family-style. They used to be famous for their linguine and white clam sauce, and I had my first steamer there (shoved down my throat by my boyfriend in High School). All in all, a very romantic dining experience.

Rumford is part of East Providence. Not much there in the way of memorable dining experiences. Drive 10 minutes or less and you'll be in downtown Prov. Try Agora in the Westin hotel or the Gatehouse in Richmond Square. Both excellent.
