We went to the Udupi Cafe last night and it was pretty good. You can not have any type of alcohol in the restaurant due to its location near the temple. There were 3 of us and the total bill was $27.00 which was not bad although 2 of us could have eaten more. The quantity of food was less than Sree's although they had a more extensive menu especially the dosai which were great. The service was not very good, although they were short staffed. All in all I liked it but due to the distance from Oakland, the alcohol limitation and the high value of a Sree's meal I do not think I will be traveling to Udupi very often. We are glad we tried it though.
