Well I tried the place last night as was quite satisfied.
As an initial warning though, it was quite expensive, even surpassing
 Christopher's.
However, the food and service were excellent. I went with my girlfriend
and we had very good meals. We started with the sherry bisque, which was
quite good. I actually prefer a lobster bisque, but this was not at all
bad. I do have a minor complaint in that I didn't actually order the
bisque, but since it was so good I didn't feel like complaining (though
I did want to try the elk). We both then had the mixed greens with the
vinagrette. This was also quite good. Then for the main course I had the
Filet Mignon with truffle sauce, which was spectacular. It has a very
tasty sauce and the meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare as I
requested. It was garnished with an interesting tower of potato chips
and mashed potatos. My girlfriend has the bass with the (I don't
remember the name for them but they are potato dumplings, of italian
origin). This was also very good. The dumplings were actually extremely
delicate and melted in the mouth.
We then both had desert. She had the Chocolate Martini, which was most
impressive in presentation, and she said it was excellent. I had the
Creme Brule, which was very good.
Their wine list was also quite extensive, as was their selection of
cognac and single malt scotches. The service was excellent. Our waitress
was very personable, and the mean was served in a well timed manner. All
in all I would say it was a very good dining experience.

The HyeHolde has excellent food. Just don't go hungry, because you'll
 leave that way too.

This wasn't my experience at all. I have only been once, but we
certainly left well fed. I still can't say we got our money's worth,
but the food and service were very good.

You obviously just returned from a Peace Corps stint from Somalia. I
went there once and had the lamb (which was absolutely fabulous, mind
you. They are famous for it and with good reason). However, my portion
was miniscule to say the least. I'm glad I had pretzels in the car, or
I would have been pretty ticked off.
