I have been to The Carlton",located in the Mellon Building down town,
 and have never been disappointed!

We have always had great food with a very nice variety on the menu,
along with specials. The service is the best, but it can get busy on
Saturday's when there are events happening down town. They go out of
their way to apologize for running late.

It is pricey, but if you want a special dinner, I highly recommend The Carlton.

Also, ask for Brad for your server.

I agree with Ms. Pingree's review of the Carlton - we use the
entertainment card there once a year, and get a great value! We have
never been disappointed in the food quality, and I thought their steak
was better than Ruth's Chris. Also, we were told that a portion of the
menu changes every day. I've found their specials to be both creative
 and tasty.

This is a good way to pay for your Entertainment book each year - I
believe you get a $20 value, which you can easily spend.

I don't know Brad, so I can't comment on that, but I've enjoyed
the Carleton many times. It is a very special place. It is
quite expensive, but it's a good value. Do they still have
complementary limos to Heinz/Benedum? One of the nicest evenings
I spent (on a student's budget) involved The Carleton (with an
Entertainment Book Coupon) and a limo ride to the symphony (subsidized
by Bayer Industries)--just amazing what you can do with a little money
and a LOT of planning. :-)
