Southwestern Bistro is almost directly across 6th Street from where it used to be (it's now on the Fulton Theater side, in the same block as the theater). The same (high) quality of food made the move successfully, in my opinion. The surroundings are unfortunately much less comfortable than they were across the street. Other people have posted on this news group about problems with a wait on busy nights, even with a reservation. I can't comment on that. Another place I've had pretty good pre-show meals is Scoglio (notice: no possessive apostrophe-S, the gratuitous addition of which to restaurant names by my fellow citizens is one of my pet peeves about Pittsburgh) in Fifth Avenue Place. The food is Italian and less adventuresome, richer and pricier that at Southwestern Bistro, but is pretty well prepared. And in contrast to SW Bistro, the dining room is really lovely--right now I can't think of a nicer one in town. Tony
