Davios

As one of Lynne's "party of six" I whole heartedly endorse her faint
praise for Davio's. The food was forgettable, the tables cramped,
and the service folksy (a la Ritter's). Some of the ingredients were
first rate. My veal chop, for example, was large nicely marbled, etc. but
the cook overdid the rosemary (a sin I've sometimes committed) to mar but
not ruin what should have been an excellent dish.

A recent veal chop at the Common Plea, by contrast, was grilled & seasoned
to perfection as was every other aspect of the meal. In my experience the
only bridge crossing (excepting the Birmingham for Le Pommier or Cafe Allegro)
that leads to good food is the Ft Pitt tunnel.
