For the best Italian food in the Pittsburgh area, head out to Mario's Italian Family Restaurant near the old Pgh. Int'l Airport. They are a professional establishment dedicated to fine cuisine and service. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, almost like going to a friend's house for dinner. The food is great, and the chef develops different creative specials daily. Entrees run from $8 for a huge pasta dish to $17 for filet mignon. Try their fabulous Chicken Romano with a selection from their very extensive wine list. I go there as often as I can and see many repeat customers. They are, IMHO, the best kept secret in the area. ---dave
