Try Red River Barbque on Perry Highway in Pine Township (N. of Ross
Park Mall (WAY North!)). This is Texas BBQ like we had in So. Texas
and as far as I am concerned, the best around. You want hot ribs, go
to Hot Licks, but if you want authentic Texas BBQ, go to Red River. My
only regret is that the resturant in Castle Shannon closed (never had
enough parking). Now I have to drive 40 min to get my rib fix!!

Wilson's in the Mexicanh War Streets on the North Side. REAL smoked
barbecue, great hot sauce, take out only, zero ambience. Go now.

I just had some nice food at Eliot's Rib Shack on Rt. 51 near the
Century 3 mall. I like mine a bit sweeter, but they were good. They
also have excellent smoked pork chops and crisp fries. Not bad for a
rib place that has sit down.

And when you pray, be not like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and
pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they be seen by men.
Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray,
shut yourself up in your room and pray to your Father who is in secret; and
your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

I've never had better ribs, anywhere, than at Mr. Ribbs on Penn Avenue
in Wilkinsburg...meaty, hot (well, the hot sauce was VERY hot) and
with good sides...no atmosphere, great food.
