Folks: I have been to Miyoshi (on Baum Blvd.) several times now. Their sushi as good as, if not better, than sushi too. The rice is good and there's plenty of wasabi. The udon dishes are also excellent - although the ramen are not super. The food is authentic as I remember it during my 4 years in Japan - the chef is Japanese. It is not americanized, so be prepared for that. Some on this group have also found the service slow - I say it's worth the wait for food made to order. The staff are not that proficient at English - so speak slowly and be patient with them - they are very friendly. We only waited 15-20 mins for main courses for 7 on Sat. evening at 11 p.m. The appetizers of sushi appeared in less than 10 minutes. In addition, they are open until 2 am on Fri. and Sat. so they are a wonderful alternative to Ritters for an after movie meal. Please support this alternative to the regular places for sushi and show that being open late can be worthwhile in this city. Alan Juffs [email removed]
