JANNIE: A GREAT RESTAURANT

I've walked past there a couple of times - their food looks fairly average & the prices were on the high side for Chinese.

I have been to the China Buffet across the way - although it has it's share of "buffet fillers" there were some suprisingly good pork, chicken & veg entrees!

Holly, you HAVE to eat there. I was just there last night and thought I wanted to post here to thank those who raved about it. They were right.

We had a delicious Seafood Soup to start off with. Chunks of nice seafood. Shrimp, scallops, lobster, squid, and more. The entres were generous and delicious. We had the Triple Delight and Pan Fried Noodle. The Triple Delight had incredible jumbo shrimp and the mushrooms were totally amazing. Whatever they do to that dish, it's done right. The Pan Fried Noodles was excellent also.

If you want typical chinese food like Moo Soo Pork, they seem to have it, but in addition to the great food we had some very interesting looking dishes passed by throughout our meal. One seemed to be be some sort of nest made out of fried noodles stuffed with chicken.

The prices are a little high for Chinese, but absolutely worth it. IMO the generous portions and the quality of the food make it a very good value. The service was excellent as well.

I can't wait to go back.

This Northeast Philadelphia restaurant has both Chinese and Japanese food. Contrary to their take out menu, their fax number is 722-2680. Their main number is 722-6278. Check them out. Get a take-out menu from the restaurant. They have lunch specials. I like the restaurant because they both deliver and take credit cards (>$15). They have a wide selection of vegetarian foods, both Chinese & Japanese. Please view the thread in phl.food for more information. Use Deja News if necessary.
