If you go out to Boggs from Shiloh there is another "authentic" italian rest. called La Tavola Italiana.
Pittsburgh, PA
Italian Resturant on Shilo Street
Portobello: Have eaten there 6 times in 4 yrs. Food is great when it's good, but a little irregular. For example, I love the chicken marsala, but one time there's this spectacular sauce that makes you go "oh" every bite, and the next time there's about a tsp of sauce on the whole serving. Very much a family affair, dad comes out to every table sometime during dinner (when I asked for more sauce I got it). They *were* BYOB, but got a license about a year ago. The wine list was pretty slim, but that may have changed in the past year. Spoke to some (picky) friends who were there last month, they said the food was excellent. So, although a mixed review, I'd say go try it, and let me know what you find :-) Christine Peter B. wrote: > Almost certainly this was for Portobello. I used to work right above > this place. Their telephone number is (412)431-0452. Give them a call, check them out and happy wonderful Italian eating. BTW, I live on Dilworth Street in Mt. Wash. and walk by there frequently going home. It is a nice place with good atmosphere, food and now a liquor license. Richard M. Hays, Jr. [email removed] http://trfn.clpgh.org/speak/ http://www.toastmasters.org/ alt.org.toastmasters/
