Friendship-area restaurants?

Peoples Indian Food on Penn is very tasty. The Sharp Edge past Negly on
Frienship has a great beer selection & the pizza is good. The rest of the
food is hit or miss. There is a litle family run Cambodian place on Penn
that was good the one time I was there.

Try People's on Penn and Evaline, a few blocks west of Quiet
storm. The six dollar lunch buffet is very good... though the
buffet stuff is usually not spicy enough for me. They usually
have two chicken dishes, and 4-6 vegetaarian (mixed veggies,
spinach and potatoes, peas and cheese, and beans. Appetizers
include samosas, and a veggie fritter like thing, which I
can't recall the name of. Dont forget the tea... mmmmm.
Further down is Pho Minh, a vietnamese place with excellent
 spring roll, very good Pho.
A little further down is El Tropicale... jamaican; takeout
only. Limited menu, maybe 4 meat dishes, plus a couple
 sandwiches.

 Welcome to the neighborhood

And a little further down is Taste of India, a very good and reasonably priced
restaurant -- I've eaten at all in the Pgh area and it's definitely at the top of
my list! Service is a little slow but worth the wait.

Well you should try Taj Mahal, by far the best Northern Indian establishment
 in the area.

Definitely check out the Penn-Aiken Dairy located at, you guessed it
-- Penn and Aiken!! They have the best fall-off-the-bone ribs you've
tasted in a while, I promise you. They also have other small
greasy-spoon type stuff too. Their fries are pretty good too.

I like Mariani's/Pleasure Bar in Bloomfield on Liberty, they have good
crab cakes (I know, I know, so Pittsburghish, but hey -- they're
 good!).

India Palace in Oakland -- near Centre & Craig -- has the best shrimp
biryani I've had in the city, it's soooooo good.

I also went back to La Feria (Peruvian) recently, on Walnut St in
 Shadyside above Pamela's,
and it's obvious I've been away too long. The food was awesome.

 Bon Apetit!

A good place that delivers and is not too far from Friendship is Little Bangkok
on Millvale Avenue. They have great soups (the shimp soup has the shells
on--more flavorful, but a deal breaker for some). I love their Thai salad,
which is steamed vegetables with a delicious peanut sauce. The owner usually
does the deliveries, and he told me recently that they make 7 different homemade
sauces. They open at 4 pm, and I think they are closed Sunday and Monday.

Oddly enough, the only thing I didn't care for there was the Pad Thai.

They also advertise "the best fish sandwich in Pittsburgh." The graphic always
makes me laugh because it looks like a surfboard on a bun!
