There are a few places in Confluence that may fit the bill. One in particular on the water at the end of the Ohio Pyle bike trail.

Sorry I can't give directions. I could only tell you if I went along. You know, turn left at the old dead tree, etc..

Nothing fancy clearly sounds like Glieson's (sp?) on rt. 40, south of the Ohiopyle turnoff, on the right. Great home baked rolls and bread. If you are there early try some French Toast made with their bread, or bye a loaf and make some French Toast yourself the next day. I also like their hot roast beef sandwich made with, you guest it. There are also great specials with real mashed potatoes, and terrific homemade pies, fruit and mile high with meringue. Go hungry, like after rafting, and abandoned the special diet (how can you be sure about your culinary path without some occasional experimentation?) Well enough, I know I have an old roll in the freezer, that I can turn into French Toast right now.

There is also Stone House (in Chalk Hill, on Rte. 40 west toward Uniontown) and Braddock's Inn (also on Rte. 40). Glison's is good also; it used to be better, but the pies are special.

Stone House is a bit more upscale. Braddock's is a sort of good old boy kind of place. In the fall they have great buckwheats.

  There's a place on rt.40, near the village of Chalk Hill that's a B&B
that also serves decent lunches and dinners. The atmosphere is nice, but you don't need to be dressed up to dine there. I think it's called the Stone House. If you're going on the weekend, go early. It gets very crowded in the peak dinner hours, since it's one of the only places for miles around that isn't a fast food/diner/pizza place.
