 I generally describe Cafe Sam as a place where the menu descriptions
 frequently sound better than the food actually is. That said, I had a
 wonderful Mediterranean salad there the other day.  Huge selection;
 moderate prices (you can get appetizer portions of many pasta dishes,
 for example); light, bright decor; somewhat noisy yuppie atmosphere;
 good service. Good bread, good quality ingredients; just sometimes the
 preparation doesn't quite come together. Have enjoyed sitting on the
 roof patio in good weather. Can't comment on the beer/wine selection.
 I suspect it's popular on the weekend and that reservations would be
 recommended.
