Well, after all the posts about wings, whole wings, split wings, and
Buffalo's Cafe, we decided to have dinner there last night. As luck
would have it, Wednesday (and Monday) evenings they have an
all-you-can-eat wings bash for $6.95. The short-review: if you like
traditional, Buffalo-style wings, the food was good, the price was good,
the serving staff was pleasant and responsive, but the kitchen was a bit
 slow.

 The long review:

We arrived around 6 or so and were seated promptly, not too many tables
 were taken.

My wife ordered their chicken tenders, which consists of a basket of 4
large, breaded and fried strips of white meat with a honey-mustard
dipping sauce; a few strips of a tasty garlic toast; and a generous
helping their home-made potato chips. We didn't expect the special
"taters" to be chips, but they were very good. Price: $5.95 She was
 happy.

I indulged in the wing bash ($6.95). Unfortunately, you get zero sides
with the wings (except for a few carrot and celery sticks), so I also
ordered their dinner salad ($1.95) with their honey mustard dressing
(same as the dipping sauce for the tenders). The salad was nothing
special, your typical iceberg with some shaved carrots and red cabbage
and some shredded cheddar and provelone(?) cheese on top, but the
lettuce was fresh and the salad was a good size for the price.

The wings bash starts with an order of 15 (half-)wings. The wings were
large and meaty, and not overly greasy. As mentioned above, the sauce
is the traditional, "Franks Original RedHot" type sauce offered in mild,
medium, hot and extra-hot. I'm not a "hot for hot's sake" wings fan, so
I got a mix of medium and hot. Both were good, though not as hot as I
expected them to be. I ordered an extra round of 10 wings, all hot.
Overall, if I'm not looking for variety in sauces, I'd happily go back
 for the food.

The wait staff was fast and friendly. Drink orders were taken and
delivered promptly, as was the salad. The first round of food arrived
in decent time. However, when I placed the re-order, it took about 20
minutes to get the additional 10 wings. I found that to be ridiculously
slow. Granted, there was a party of 12 whose order was in at the same
time and that was served just ahead of mine. But on an all-you-can-eat
night, I cannot fathom that it should take so long to prepare 10 wings,
 even in a busy kitchen.

Add 1 beer and one frozen drink (minus the alcohol), and the bill came
 to $19.24 plus tip.

We will almost certainly go back, perhaps even for the a-u-c-e special,
but I'll make sure ahead of time that I won't have to sit there waiting
all night for them to show up.

Buffalo's Cafe is on McKnight Road in a strip mall just north of a
Pep-Boys and south of North Hills Village Mall.
