Our favorite is Glenn's, in Springdale. This place serves frozen
custard, an incredibly rich soft ice cream from wonderful 1930's
machines. It's take out only; usually the parking lot is mobbed
with people from miles around milling about zoning out on high
caloric concoctions. Sometimes the local little league team is
there en masse. Limited flavor choices, usually 3 or 4, made and
changed daily. Always vanilla and chocolate, and usually a
fruited flavor or two. Don't pass up the banana or peach.
Compared to ice cream, this is frozen manna. They also sell
prefilled and much harder frozen quarts. We do pop in to
Dave+Andy's or Bruster's occasionally as they are close, but
Glenn's is in a class by itself.
Definitely worth the 15 minute trip.
