OH MY GOD DON'T GET ME STARTED!!! I love Bruster's Black Raspberry ice cream. It's such a shame they don't have it year round!!! I love love love that stuff and count down to it months in advance *breathes deeply* Okay.

But if you're in for a little bit of a drive (an hr on Route 28 North, Kitanning has a great gelato place that was featured in the P-G a few months ago ( http://www.post-gazette.com/ae/20010711mulberry0711fnp3.asp ). There's a cool riverfront park near there where you can take in the scenery along the Allegheny. (Developed by the folks who wanted to create the Fifth & Forbes project I might add)

It's definitely worth the drive, and they'll pack some up real nice for you if you ask and want take a pint home to Pittsburgh. They have a couple flavors at the Tazza Doro cafe in Highland Park, but I'd still would make it out there to Kittanning. It's to die for. Okay I think I'm going to have to make a trip out there myself....
