A good, reasonably priced ($8-15) Italian restaurant is Basta's, located on the corner of NW 21st and Flanders. The building is a remodeled Tastee- Freeze (!), but it's really quite elegant and interesting, and the food is great. Also in the NW part of town are two Mexican restaurants- Santa Fe Taqueria and Casa U-Betcha. The Northwest section of town is a fun place to be at night.
