Spent the New Year's week in Wrightsville Beach.
Was thrilled to find excellent restaurants there--much better than the usual beach fare. The Port City Chop House was an excellent beef/grille type steak house. Great ambiance, great food/steak/salads/sides, great wines, excellent service. A bit pricey, but not overly so. Dinner for 4 was $170 including champagne, dessert, sides, etc. Entrees were about $16-30. A great celebration restaurant. On left before you get to the bridge to Wrightsville.

Olympia Restaurant is a non-fancy greek/italian restaurant on the causeway. Excellent food, better than the Spartacus type places around RTP. Low prices. Good varied menu.

The Causeway Cafe is a breakfast/lunch greasey spoon. Open til 3pm daily except Mondays. Sandwiches, waffles, shrimp over grits, etc. On causeway next to Reddicks dept store. Very basic, very inexpensive, very good.

Pussers (unfortunate name, but an old Caribbean name and a chain of about 6-8 restaurants from Tortola to Charleston to Annapolis) is on the sound side and has a great Sunday Brunch for about $15. Beautiful building, great service and delicious food. The buffet is limited but everything was good.

enjoy.
