It is indeed called the Armadillo Grill. It is a wonderful Mexican restaurant, serving good, fresh, *cheap* food. The salsa is *homemade* and is the best in town! People buy it by the quart to serve at home! They have a patio for fine weather, and lots of free parking (very important in downtown Chapel Hill) Next time you are in town, please try it.

No, I'm *not* getting a cut of the profits for this review! ;-)

As for the original posting about Raleigh restaurants, there are several local restaurant guides available, the best IMO is "Word of Mouth" the entries are suggested by local residents and the restaurants are rated with little running waiters instead of stars. Three waiters is their highest rating. I just took a quick look in my old (1990) copy and didn't see any 3 waiter listings for Raleigh, but there may be some by now. The guide is published by: Word of Mouth Publications, 27 Bloomsbury Court, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
