A place I really like is 'Flo's Place in Murrell's Inlet. We are going down there again in June and its one of the first places that I will visit. Excellent!

Hi: I don't really travel to MB very often (I prefer the NC coast), but when I've been there I liked Santa Fe Station. Good variety of seafood-cooked properly, nice salads, and the best hush puppies with honey butter I've ever had. It tends to be crowded in season, but, they let you eat in the bar on a first come, first served basis. It's always fun to be eating while watching those waiting for the dining room fidget and bug the hostess.

Tom,

Get out of Myrtle and drive north to Calabash, SC.

This is a small (one stop light, literally) town that has about 35 seafood restaurants!

The reason is that Calabash has a great access to the sea, and a lot of fishing boats tie up there, so the food is fresh.

The best restaurant of the bunch, IMHO, is Becks. Once in Calabash, turn right (coming from Myrtle) onto the only road that goes towards the ocean. Becks's is the second restaurant on the right.

Be prepared for a line. Even with 35 restaurants, lines are common.

Calabash is so famous for seafood that some people fly into the small local airport from Charlotte, eat dinner, and fly home!

Colin

PS they have great onion rings!
