I found the food at India Garden to be less greasy than the food at Bombay Grille. There was also more variety. So far I have been there twice and on both occasions I found the food to be very good. I also felt that the food was much better and cheaper than that of the Indian restaurant on Capital Blvd. in Tarrymore Square?

I like India Garden (and it's certainly better than Bombay Grille was last time I ate there several months ago), but I have two complaints.

I've eaten at India Garden three times in the past couple of weeks (so I do like it!)--twice for lunch buffet, once for take-out dinner.

1. While the food on the buffet seems fresh, sometimes some of it is only barely warm, and we were there pretty early. I think it may be because they use only heat lamps rather than fired chafing dishes or steam tables on the buffet.

2. The food I've tried is less rich and spicy than India Mahal. Some may prefer this, but I lean toward richer and spicier (just a little).

So my order of preference is:

1. India Mahal (but do they still have a B rating?? :-
2. India Garden (much better service than India Mahal) ... N. all the rest
(although I haven't eaten at the place that replaced Passage
to India, and haven't been to either Royal India on Capital
Blvd. or the place on Franklin Street near Carrboro in a long
	 time)
