Sorry I couldn't reply to earlier posts because of my news reader but for Italian in Cary you have Fiore's which someone already mentioned is a mediterranean kind of Italian restaurant, meals starting around $14. They have the same chef that used to work at Giorgio's and the same wood burning oven. Excellent food! They are next door to Vinnie's in MacGregor Shopping Center, across from the Fox and Hound. I would also recommend the Italian Oven, on Kildare Farm Road which is a family oriented pizza and stromboli restaurant. Dinners from around $7, bottomless soft drinks with their signature noodle straws. -Bill
