Another sushi bar opened on Main Street, near South Campus, a couple of months ago. I hear that the owner and/or the main chef at this place (called Osaka) used to work at Saki's. A small Pacific Rim style restaurant recently opened on Hodge Street, near Sweet Tooth, but from what I hear there is no link to Saki's. Apparently, the owners of this new place (called Papaya Cafe, I think) own another restaurant somewhere in the area (my informant said it's Jasmine II in Cheektowaga). This is all I know about the fate of Saki's and Pacific Rim cuisine in Buffalo... --John > > -- > Janice (They don't call me Calamity for nothing!) > My page: http://web.idirect.com/~calamity > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > : Internet Direct (416)233-2999 1000 lines SLIP, 9600 - 33,600 bps : > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > > _____________________________________________________________________________ ____ \ / R.
