Best buffet I've ever had in vegas is at the Rio. Their "Carnival World Buffet." The mexican food section was particularly good (and filling).

The Rio Suites Hotel Casino has one of the best buffets ... American food, along with ... chinese, itilian, mexican, mongolian barbeque ... on the strip the best is Ceasar's Palace ... it's about 10.95, for all you can eat Shrimp, etc...

IMHO, the Rio has by far the best buffet. It is set up like a food court at a mall, with chinese, mongolian barbeque, american, italina, etc, and a good dessert section. Service is usually pretty good as far as drink refills, etc., but the lines can get *very* long.

Try Mirage for their Sunday Champagne brunch. Best buffet I've tried!

I just got back Wednesday and enjoyed the Riviera (superb prime rib on Saturday). Also like MGM-Grand's veal, pork loin, etc.

I really enjoyed brunch at the San Remo. I seem to recall the prices being a little higher ($ 4.99 as opposed to $2.99) but the quality of food was well worth it.

Stay away from the Circus Circus!

Best,
Marcie.

Hi there! I like Westward Ho & Rio's buffet. Westward Ho doesn't have lot of food choices (vs. other big places) but whatever they have are great & excellent tasty food :-) Also, I like Rio's choices of meal (Italian, Chinese, Mexican, American food -- Did I miss anything?); girls work at Rio aren't bad at all <g> :-) -- I'm sorry, my head is not functional properly during sudden hours <must be too much Widget Planning ^_^>. Well, enjoy!

Cheers,

Try Bally's Buffet on the second floor, up the escalators from the casino, gets good marks for price/quality. Excalibur's dinner buffet (Not the jousting show) is also quite good and has a large selection of food. And if you want to spemd some money, try the Buffet of Champions at the Las Vegas Hilton, they do a mean breakfast and lunch and a killer brunch on weekends. But skip dinner, since they are usually jammed for that one.

The best buffet I had based on price and quality was at the Rio. The next best buffet I had was at Bally's Big Kitchen.

For breakfast, I heard that the Gold Coast gives huge portions of ham. I read this but did not try it.

I have eaten at the Bally's Big Buffet a couple of times and it was excellent. Large variety including Chinese food and a very nice room to eat it. Not the cheapest, but worth it.

I've eaten at Bally's "Big Kitchen" buffet 2 or 3 times. I wasn't impressed. I only ate there 'cuz a friend of mine was gambling there and getting comp meals so I tagged along.

One clue (for me) to a good restaurant is the quality of the bread. The rolls you get in Bally's buffet are as dry as a bone and as hard as hockey pucks. I can't enjoy a good meal having to deal with crappy bread like that.

However, the food in Bally's "Coffee Shop" restaurant is quite good and the bread is a whole 'nuther quality than the rocks they serve in the buffet in the same building.

The Rio's buffet still ranks as the best I've ever had in Vegas.

In my opinion, the best dinner buffet in Vegas is at Balley's. It is about $12.50, but worth every penny (particularly if you like Chinese food). They have a Chinese food section every night with several entrees and appetizers, as well as around 8 other entrees a night. ery elaborate ones, like stuffed chicken breasts, various chicken or meat disshes in wine or cream sauces, etc. The also have carved Prime Rib, which is blase as nearly every buffet in vegas does too. The salad bar has peel and eat shrimp. Their ice cream is very good too.

My second favorite is Caesar's, which is perfect if you like seafood. They have a huge table overflowing with already peeled shrimp, lox, and sometimes crab legs. They have carved Prime Rib, Ribs, Turkey, and Ham. Their other entrees are usually kinda blah though. Good deserts. Also around $12.50.

I went to three buffets in Vegas over the course of my stay there last July. The Sahara (where'd the idea start that it got torn down! it was still standing intact as of a few months ago!), the Mirage, and the Flamingo. I found the Mirage insipid, the Sahara terrible, and only the Flamingo was any good. The food at the Flamingo dinner buffet was excellent but the wait was appalling.

Oops. Sorry, I didn't mean the Mirage. I never went there. I meant to say Excalibur. Both Excalibur and Sahara stank. The Flamingo was excellent.

As one who has been to the mirage, I can tell you it was very good for dinner, tho a little high priced (~$11). We had excellent prime rib and salad bar stuff plus they have a monster pile of good sized shrimp which they refilled often. I wouldn't mess with the pasta stuff unless pasta is your favorite, course I ate too much prime rib.

Being a 25 year local, my experience has been the buffet at the Mirage and Golden Nugget were great. Probably the most expensive , but well worth the cost. Also the RIO has a decent buffet

I've tried many of the Buffets in town (have been here for over 25 years) and I'd say that The Rio is my favorite, however, Palace Station and Boulder Station tie for a VERY close second!!!
