No idea which show this was, but places that have great steaks in St. Charles are:

 Vivian's Vineyard, 636-940-8444, http://www.viviansvineyard.com
The Filet Maison is their signature steak. Don't skip the Shrimp Nicole or
   Portabella mushroom appetizers, either.

47 Port Street Grill, in Ameristar Casino, 636-949-7777
Ye Olde Fashioned Filet is very tasty.

Outback Steakhouse, believe it or not.
I like the Outback Special, the least expensive steak on the menu.

The Broiler, in St. Peters, near Mid-Rivers and Mexico (two stop lights east).
I've eaten here once, and loved it. They also sell their steaks for you to
   cook at home.
