just rememeber that if you can't go anywhere else, you can always go to the hard rock cafe...although it may sound disgusting (i know, you want some real mexican cuisine), you won't get sick...

if you do happen to go south a wee bit, don't miss the cafe ole at puerto aventures (about an hour south of cancun)...it's on the el corridor tourista (spell?)...it's a little outdoor cafe on a harbor at this wonderful resort...stay away from the hotels, their food sucks, but there is nothing like breakfast (huevos rancheros are excellant) overlooking the little harbor and listening to paul simon (the owners are french canadian and have excellant taste in music)...for dinner, the fresh fish is wonderful and the price is very good...be sure to say hello to gilles and oncle georges!

and while you're down at puerto aventures, you can also go down to tulum, the only mayan ruins on the beach...definately worth the drive (do try to get there very early in the morning, before the tour buses...the view is incredible and very majestic without all the people crawling everywhere)

adios!
