Following up on some of the posts from a few
weeks ago regarding Pazza Luna on Route 1
(northbound lane) in Saugus....

I like this place.

It's done in a modernistic eclectic decor with
high ceiling, high-tech lighting and glossy cement floor....yet it feels warm.

The large wood-burning brick oven dominates the
bar area.

We tried a pizza and found it very good, with everything made fresh.

On a Saturday night, the place was packed early which surprised me a bit since I had 3 little kids with me.

We tried a number of Italian dishes with the portions very substantial. The linguine carbonara was excellent.

The right side of the building houses a discotheque which I understand is pretty popular on weekend nights.

I guess you would classify Pazza Luna as an upscale casual family restaurant...no white table cloth formality but a big step up from an East-Side Mario's (which happens to be a short distance away). It's a little less formal than Donatello's.

Decent little wine list and a slew of beers on tap. This place has an interesting concept. It's a fun place to dine out.
