Dim Sum
I like Chau Chow City a lot. I switched from China Pearl, and am now a regular at Chau Chow City. It is on Essex Street, on the same block as a large Chinese grocery store. Make sure to go up to the third floor, which is the main Dim Sum room. They serve every day. - Terry In article #1/1, Cynthia W. wrote: > > Anyone been to Boston Chinatown recently? I've tried a great number of places in Chinatown for Dim Sum, and few have been near the quality of Chau Chow City. Way back in 1991, I used to always go to Dynasty (mostly because we knew the owners and always got seated right away). Later, we realised the food just wasn't very good anymore and started searching for a better place. We had already been to China Pearl, which I found very greasy and not very tastey. We tried Emperial, New Shainghai, Golden Palace, Grand China (the one that used to be a theatre), and a few others. When Chau Chow opened, we tried it and instantly found our new Dim Sum restaurant. When I was working in Downtown Boston, I used to go there once a week. I've also been there for Chinese Banquest twice, teh food is very good. -- Dan Someone wrote: > I second the recommendation for Chau Chow City. We wandered for almost a year without good Dim Sum, until Chau Chow opened.

Anybody know the place I'm talking about? Yeah, thats Grand China I think. Its across the street from Penang. It ok, but not as good as Chau Chow City. You should give that a try. I think you'll find the quality and selection to be greater. I've tried all the big places, and only one stands out over all.
