I was there a couple of nights ago and found the same mix I remembered: a couple of tasty dishes (in particular, the mushroom risotto and a very moist chocolate cake), a couple which were competent but not particularly distinguished, and a couple which were just bland and/or unimpressive (e.g., a nearly flavorless scallop appetizer). There were also a couple of dishes still on the menu from my previous visit which I'd need a good reason to ever try again -- the veal stew on egg noodles, for example, which I remember as being uninteresting and fairly pasty. They've only once served me something which was just plain bad (a creme brule which had obviously been sitting too long next to a mint sauce, and had absorbed the flavor), and that was quite a while ago. Since I'm within walking distance I go occasionally, but I probably wouldn't travel to it. -David

Or is my friend just picky? Corrina Mozo (the chef) left to head Truc (in the South End), so it wouldn't surprise me; that said, I haven't eaten there since she left. It would be too bad, because it's one of my favorites as well. I would assume that if things get too bad, Paul O'Connell (the owner) will step in and make changes. Thor
