To anyone interested in some of the best Indian food in the Baltimore area, I highly recommend trying out the Akbar in Baltimore, and I invite you to visit the Akbar web site at http://sbachman.com/akbar to check out coupons, the menu, maps, and more.

Actually, I always thought the Bombay Grill was far superior.

Give the White Tiger on Capital Hill a try. Depending on the phase of the Moon either it or Bombay Grill ranks tops with me.

I suggest you try Banjara on South Charles in Federal Hill.

Alright! Someone finally brought up my favorite. Banjara has better food and better service!

I sure cannot complain about the "India Palace" out here in Annapolis. The buffet is an impressive lunch. Asking the staff "what is that" works, so you can, maybe, be sure to eat the spinach rather than the mushrooms. (sorry, no boat picture.)

Actually ate at Akbar not too long ago. Everything was fried and tastless - not like it used to be. Think I'll stick with Banjara in the "hood".

Try the Mango Grove near Columbia. It's all vegetarian and it's pretty darn cheap. It's one of my faves.

You might try Harvest of India in Herndon (Herndon Centre, with the K-Mart); their lunch buffet is pretty decent. I haven't tried them at dinner, though.
