There's a pretty good restaurant called Phillips that serves good sea food. Also a short cab ride to Little Italy would be worth it too. It's just a few miles, get out and walk around until you see something you like. They're all delicious.

I've been to Tio Pepe's - the food is great! Another nice place is Hampton's in Harbor Court Hotel, across the street from the Harborplace. We just went there for a brunch on Sunday. For $70, the two of us had a great appetizer and entree plus unlimited champagne and freshly squeezed O.J. and dessert cart. I think the dinner will be a litle bit more, but they supposedly has the best food in Bltimore.

Another place we just tried is called M. Gettier's in Fells Point. He used to be the head chef at the Conservatory and just opened his own restaurant recently. The prices for the food and wine are VERY reasonable (I think we paid about $80 for appetizer, dinner, wine, dessert, and tip) for a French restaurant. fells Pointis not far away from Harborplace and has a bunch of bars/live music/dance clubs.

Little Italy isn't even that far from the harbor, it's probably a mile and a halfeast of it? Except for Phillips, the restaurants at Harborplace were goodbut not that special when I was last there ('91?)(although Harborplace in general is great.) little italy would be my recommendation, besides phillips, for a memorable meal. Up Charles street from the harbor about ten blocks is Tony cheng's, which is a really good, kind of UnChinese Chinese restaurant. (It's Right around the Washington monument, on Read Street). Also, Tio Pepe's, about six blocks up from the Harbor, on Saratoga Ithink(???) near St. paul street, is a very famous Spanish restaurant, that I never got a chance to go to.
