We recently dined?? at Antoine's in New Orleans supposedly The Restaurant to go to. The escarot's and lamb medallions were OK but the vegetable salad was a disaster. The Carrots & Cauliflower were mushy & overcooked for an entree never mind a salad. We were informed that trout was unavailable effectively eliminating half of the 12-16 seafood entrees. Pompano with buster crab was selected and we were informed there was no buster crab but soft-shelled crab could be substituted at extra cost (the nerve). We tried this but it was dry and tasteless. At this point we cut our losses and went to Pat O'Briens for dessert and drinks. In summary lousy food what there was of it. so-so service and no ambience. Rating: 1/2 *
