It used to be south of downtown, but last time we were there, it had moved north, to Keystone Crossing. Check it out if possible. The food was great Midwest cuisine (and NO I don't mean steak). Definately on par with Sanford's in Milwaukie. Of course, it could have changed for the worse with the move. It used to be located right across from the White Castle regional headquarters - what a contrast!! For the most interesting pizza, try Bazbeaux Pizza at 334 Massachusetts Ave. Great whole wheat crust pizza. Neat, old building regentrified ambiance. The Majestic at 47 S. Penn was okay, but I expected more for the price. Seafood was just okay. For a neat bar, check out the Chatterbox, a real neighborhood type of bar at 435 Massachusetts. Much better than the Slippery Noodle, IMHO. Also, be sure to wonder through Union Station. Nice re-use of an old train station. Wish Minneapolis would do something like that for its old Milwaukie statation. Guess I just like seeing old architecture saved and reused. Hope this helps. Anything else, just email me. I still have my copy of the Indy travel guide.

Indianapolis recommendations?

I'll forward all recommendations along to her. Two places, both great: 1. If you want a formal, get dressed up, gourmet place try the Canterbury Hotel on Illinois St. This place rivals any of the finer places in Chicago, LA or New York. After dinner, take the elevator up to the sixth floor and walk by room 606. This is the room where Mike Tyson had the little fling with Ms. Washington that ended up with him convicted of rape. 2. If you want a great steak, go to St. Elmo's, also on Illinois St. This place has been in continuous operation since the early 1900s. Classic. Jack
