Wonderful Seafood?????

Shaw's Crabhouse is great but expensive. The prices in the bar area are better, but not as fancy. I took client's to McCormick & Schmidt. We had a great time. Still fancy, but the food was good, and not as expensive as Shaw's. For great Italian seafood, try La Boca della Veritas on Lincoln, next to the Davis Movie Theater. It's not downtown, but price and quality is the best.

I second Alan's recommendation for La Bocca della Verità. It is a warm neighborhood trattoria, with wonderful food. The owner, Cèsare, and his wife Elizabeth have also just opened up a pizzeria on Lawrence. Without trying to sound too ravingly enthusiastic, I would say that it is the best authentically Italian pizza I have had outside of Italy. (They use a very thin flour, buffalo mozarella, a wood burning oven, etc.) They also make calzoni, a variety of pastas and gnocchi, and three or four meat dishes. The wine list is reasonably priced.

Thanks for the tip about Pizza DOC. We've been to La Bocca many times, even recently, but Liz never told us about it. We called he tonight at home to ask her"what to order" at D.O.C. Francis was running the place, the pizza was great. THIN CRUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really fresh. Quite enjoyable.. We've vowed to bring a different couple with us once a week, until they're too full. There aren't too many restaurants up here that are really worth going to.

Thanks again for the tip
